Peer Counseling Program Adds New Counselors

Congratulations to this year's peer counselors: Regina Vazquez, Maria Del Valle, Isaac Jimenez, Ariel Brown-Ogha, Sara Boulris, Mariana Sierra, Alexa Pallin, Isabel Izquierdo, Fernanda Carneiro, Caleb Quentel, Julian Valdes, Rachel Burke, Thomas Brigham, Nicole Muscolino, Madison Hendrikse, Gavin Diaz, Carina Swenson, Cristina Ghisellini, Hannah Kanold, Mia Wells, Felipe Londono and Sofia Milo.
The Peer Counseling Program is a group of qualified student counselors trained to address a broad range of topics by providing one-on-one, confidential support to Westminster students. They are carefully chosen each academic year based on qualities of empathy, self-reflection, attentiveness, and discretion. The Peer Counseling Program offers an encouraging atmosphere where students can talk openly about personal, social, and/or academic challenges and accompanying feelings.

All peer counselors undergo training to address the common problems of high-school-aged people, while more complicated problems are always referred to the high school personal counselor for a clinical approach. Please note that peer counseling services are completely free and confidential.

If you’d like to meet with the high school personal counselor, please click here to schedule an appointment. If you have questions or comments, contact us at peercounseling@wcsmiami.org or the high school personal counselor, Scarlett Saldana, at ssaldana@wcsmiami.org.
