Below you will find helpful information and links to resources to begin answering your questions about being part of the Westminster community. Please check back often as information will be updated through the summer.

Placement Tests

  • Math Placement Test: Incoming Grades 6 - 8

    All students entering Grades 6 - 8 must take the math placement test before their schedule can be created.

    Option 1:
    Date: April 26, 2025
    Time: 8 a.m. 
    Location: Learning Commons

    Check In: 7:30 a.m. at the high school concourse (Enter security guard gate on 6855 SW 152 St. You may park around the circular driveway.)

    Option 2:
    Date: May 1, 2025
    Time: 3 p.m. 
    Location: Learning Commons

    Check In: 2:30 p.m. at the high school concourse (Enter security guard gate on 6855 SW 152 St. You may park around the circular driveway.)

    Test Format: For middle school math placement, a paper/pencil test will be administered. 
     
    Test Duration: Approximately 90 minutes
     
    Incoming Students in Grades 7 and 8 Only: Please bring a calculator for the placement test. Scientific or basic calculators are acceptable. We do not allow graphing calculators. 
  • Language Arts Placement Test: Incoming Grade 9

    Please make arrangements to attend one of the following mandatory event:

    Option 1:

High School

  • High School Course Selection

    In the spring of 2025, your designated High School counselor will reach out to you via email to schedule an initial meeting to discuss electives and schedule options.

    If you are a new Westminster student, please submit your official final transcript to Mrs. Katie Newcomm via email by June 30, 2025. New students may not attend Warrior Week or begin classes until transcripts have been submitted.
  • Warrior Week (High School Only)

    Warrior Week will take place from August 11-15, 2025.  Attendance is mandatory, and all high school students must attend. Please plan accordingly.

    Warrior Week information (packing list, waiver forms, parent volunteer information, etc) will be available on mYWCS in the summer.
  • Computer Purchase and Technical Support (Grades 3-12)

    Students in grades 3-12 are required to have a Westminster-issued computer for the school year. We will communicate with you once the computers are ready for pick-up in the summer.

  • Athletic Participation Requirements (Middle and High School)

    All middle and high school students interested in participating in a sport must have athletic clearance, which includes a sports physical, in order to try out.

    Clearances are only valid for one year. Please provide the forms in the summer of 2025.

  • Fine Arts Auditions

    For Fine Arts auditions, the appropriate department will contact you in the upcoming months.

  • Health Forms for New Students

    Due June 30, 2025

    Health Forms for all new students must be uploaded via myWCS Parent Portal by June 30. The upload option will be available in May 2025.

    Please do not email them or drop them off at school.


    The Florida Department of Health requires that all newly enrolled students submit valid and current health forms in order to attend a new school.
    • DH 680 (Florida Certification of Immunization)
    • DH 3040 (State of Florida School Entry Health Exam)
    Both forms are provided by your family physician or pediatrician, and signed by them.
  • Final Transcripts (Required)

    Due June 30, 2025

    All elementary students entering grades 1-5 are required to email final 2024-25 grades to Mrs. Sherry Medder. 

    All middle school students entering grades 6-8 are required to email final 2024-25 grades to Mrs. Vicki Kaplan. 

    All high school students will be required to email final 2024-25 grades to Mrs. Katie Newcomm.

    Please note that schedules and class placements will not be released without the final transcripts.

  • myWCS Parent Portal

    As a new Westminster parent, myWCS is the key to unlock the answers to your many questions and is your best connection to the Westminster community. Watch this brief two-minute tutorial on how to best navigate myWCS, your parent portal. Click the image to begin. 
     
     
    Once you are logged in, you will find important information and communications all year long! Be sure to check for updates often to view announcements, deadlines and registration links for the upcoming school year!  
  • School Supplies

    School supplies lists for preschool, elementary and middle school are available in myWCS under the Resources Board. High school lists will be available soon. 
  • Summer Reading

    Summer reading is required for middle and high school students, and strongly encouraged for elementary students.

    Please check the myWCS parent portal for summer reading lists and assignments at a later date.

  • Transportation Services

    Westminster provides a morning bus service with the following pick-up schedule and locations:

    6:55 a.m. - Salvadore Park
    (1120 Andalusia Ave) – next to tennis courts

    7:10 a.m. - Merrie Christmas Park
    (4355 SW 42 Ave)

    7:25 a.m. - Dante Fascell Park
    (8700 SW 57 Ave)

    $500 per student/per semester

  • Summer Camp

    Summer camp information is available on the Westminster website. Camp is a great opportunity for incoming students to be on campus, make new friends, meet some of our awesome teachers and counselors, and get acclimated with our campus!
