Westminster Christian School's Vision Expands

WCS has signed a contract to purchase the 5.2 acre property directly adjacent to the school, on the corner of SW 152 street and 67 Avenue. For more than a decade, WCS has pursued the property, commonly referred to as the Samole Property, to serve as a natural extension of our current campus. In God's perfect timing, the pursuit is now over. Please join us in praying for wisdom and discernment as we consider the best ways to use this blessing that the Lord has bestowed upon our school.

As we develop our vision for the property, our current considerations are:

Short-Term Long-Term
Expansion of our science program, led by Mr. Heetderks Space for a special-needs educational program
New Athletic Fields and/or Tennis Courts
Additional Parking

New Building Specializing in Technology and Innovation

Westminster Christian School is also scheduled to break ground in the summer of 2016 on a new building (tentatively named the TIDE Center) designed to provide classroom space for an innovative curriculum focused on Technology, Innovation, Design, and Engineering. The building will stand just east of the main entrance to the high school, where the modulars are currently. The two-story building will house nine innovative classrooms, and multiple offices. To the right, you can see the building's initial floorplan.

State-of-the-Art Auditorium and Worship Center

For many years now, WCS has dreamed of having a modern auditorium capable of showcasing the incredible talent of its fine arts students, and a place to nurture hearts for Christ through corporate worship and praise. While specifics are still being developed, the dream of a State-of-the-Art Auditorium and Worship Center is now slated to become a reality. The facility is expected to house a more than 700-seat auditorium, providing a top-notch performance environment for Westminster's highly-esteemed, award-winning Fine Arts programs. In addition, the space will allow for the entire WCS community to come together to worship and praise our Lord as a family.

An Invitation to Shape our Vision

The generosity of parents, alumni, and friends has nurtured Westminster Christian School for more than five decades, shaping the dreams of students and making their future successes possible.  As Westminster looks ahead to a future of exciting opportunities, those who make a commitment to its mission will make all the difference in the lives of students and in the plan God has for our school.

A gift to Westminster can also provide tangible personal benefits, depending on the assets used to fund the gift.  Please consider one of the following ways to support the mission of Westminster Christian School:

  • Bequest

"We are honored to be a part of the WCS family.  We love the teachers and their dedication to our Lord and we very much believe that if 'we train our child (two in our case) in the way he should go, (that) when he is old he will not turn from it.'  We are both living examples of this and are thankful to our parents for their foresight.  We also believe that God has called us to serve and as noted in James we believe that 'the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.' Thank you for letting us serve WCS."

- Chris and Lelenia Vasallo, parents to two WCS students

Where would we be without the Capital Campaign that helped build our innovative Elementary School?

Built in one year, the two-story, 49,000 square foot building houses 23 classrooms, a 2,000 square foot community center, outdoor learning areas, and two multi-purpose, modern-day media/resource centers known as "The Hub" at Learning Commons.
