JunTos Foundation Remembers Fallen Baseball Alumni

Westminster Christian's Baseball program unveiled a 13-foot sculpture in honor of two of its fallen players, Juanchi De la Rua '98 and Toti Mendez '98, whose lives were cut short by osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and cardiomyopathy (heart disease).  The JunTos Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 2004 by family and friends of the two young men, commissioned artist Rafael Consuegra to create the commemorative bronze sculpture.  The unveiling also marked the official renaming of the Westminster Preseason Classic to the JunTos Spring Baseball Classic.  Photos from the event.
