Horizons Academy serves children with learning differences in a holistic, multisensory environment where they are given the opportunity to develop an appreciation for God's world through experiential learning.

A division of Westminster Christian School, Horizons Academy admits students with a documented learning disability as identified under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).  This includes auditory processing deficits, reading disorders and attention-deficit disorders.  Students must have a recent psycho-educational exam.

The Academy accepts students in grades 1 through 5.  Students participate, along with their Westminster peers, in physical education, art and music classes, and in our acclaimed WorldWonder science enrichment program.  They also have one-to-one clinical services provided twice weekly and participate in our Lexia Reading Lab during the school day.

The clinical program is designed to remediate learning deficits, as diagnosed through psycho-educational testing.  Techniques used in the clincal program allow students to independently self-correct in both general education and real-world settings.
