Being a teacher here at Westminster completes a clear calling in my life. Having experienced several varied vocations, I feel remarkably blessed to be able to come to work each day looking forward to what the day will bring. Teaching is an intensly rewarding profession. It is indeed a high calling and a great responsibility, one that I take quite seriously. Having such an impact on the lives and the development of so many young people motivates to always be at my best. As a P.E. teacher in the Elementary school, instructing the children is also a great deal of fun. Elementary children, boys and girls alike are happy to come to class. In addition to my role as a teacher, I am also involved in the extracurricular area of heading up the Girls Basketball program. Coaching girls takes great patience and dedication. Emotion is a big part of our passion for the game, and our players play with great passion. I have been coaching for over twelve years and truly love the challenge of preparing teams for games. Our girls work hard and make tremendous sacrifice to excel. The relationships that are built by working together are great rewards for all our combined effort. Personally, when not teaching or coaching, I enjoy officiating high school and college basketball games. It is great exercise and has led to the development of cherished relationships. I also enjoy reading and, when I can get away, traveling. I have two grown children, both studying at the university level, who are a source of tremendous pride in my life.
